Hippel wants to earn himself a few extra carrots, so he has started up a balloon-taxi company.

How to steer Hippel’s balloon

Fly to the left: Right-hand arrow key
Fly to the right: Left-hand arrow key
Fly upwards: Top arrow key
Fly downwards: Bottom arrow key
Ladder in or out: Space bar
Remember: If you use the keys, the balloon gets faster!

How to play the game

You see a landscape on your screen with varying numbers of landing platforms. Passengers appear on the platforms. Hippel has to pick them up and take them to the landing platform they want to go to. Hippel gets carrots for every passenger he transports successfully. The quicker he completes the trip, the more carrots he gets on his account.

Level

If Hippel has transported enough passengers at one level, a sliding door opens at the top edge of the game window. He has to steer his balloon through this door into the next level to get to the next platform. When the next level is reached, the number of platforms increases. The higher the level, the more passengers Hippel has to transport.

Danger!

Hippel must not hit any objects or the edge of the game window with his hot-air balloon. If he does, the balloon is punctured and could crash. The game ends after three mistakes.

Take-off and landing:

When taking off, make sure that the passengers are properly in before Hippel takes off for the next station. Passengers who are still on the ladder when the balloon leaves fall off. If this happens, Hippel of course doesn’t get any carrots.

When landing, the balloon should descend gently. Passengers don’t have to pay if the flight is badly managed. An unsuccessful landing can cause a crash.
The balloon must land with the ladder down. However, when the ladder is in this position, the balloon can’t be steered to the left or right. This means that, when landing, the player has to try to steer the balloon so that it is as exactly as possible above the platform before letting down the ladder. The ladder can however be let in or out as often as desired so that a new attempt to land can be made if necessary.
