This is the highest court of the
European Union. The European Court of Justice was founded in 1957 and is based in Luxembourg. Its main task is to enforce the contracts agreed upon between the member states of the EU and the regulations that apply to all EU countries. The court also has to check whether the new decisions and resolutions made by the EU states are in line with EU
law.
